Rush Limbaugh

Born Rush Hudson Limbaugh III (January 12, 1951), an American radio talk show host, conservative political commentator, and an opinion leader in conservative politics and conservatism in the United States. He hosts The Rush Limbaugh Show which is the highest-rated talk-radio program in the United States. Limbaugh signed an 8 year, $400 million contract extension with Clear Channel in 2008 that pays him $50 million a year. In the 1990s, Limbaugh’s fame grew beyond radio, into publishing and television. His books The Way Things Ought to Be (1992) and See, I Told You So (1993) both became bestsellers. Limbaugh frequently critisizes the American mainstream media for having a strong liberal bias.

In March 2012, Limbaugh's sexist comments calling a Georgetown University law student a "slut" and a "prostitute" on his nationally syndicated radio program caused nationwide backlash against the conservative radio show host. The woman had testified earlier at a congressional hearing in favor of an Obama administration mandate that employee health plans include free contraceptive coverage.
